Last updated: 1 August 2026
Please Read Before Booking
SkyFocusUK provides aerial photography and video recording services. These terms are intended to be read together with the quotation, booking confirmation, invoice and any written service specification supplied to the client.
For these terms to form part of a booking, the client should be given a reasonable opportunity to read them and should confirm acceptance before the service is provided.
Important Legal Notice
This page defines the scope of the imagery service, but it does not remove rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these terms excludes SkyFocusUK’s duty to perform the agreed service with reasonable care and skill.
1. Nature of the service
SkyFocusUK provides aerial photography and video recording. Our role is limited to capturing and supplying visual imagery of areas that can be safely and lawfully recorded from the air at the time of the flight.
- The service records visible surface conditions only.
- The service does not include physical testing, opening-up work or intrusive investigation.
- Imagery is supplied in the format and quantity stated in the quotation or package description.
2. Not a survey, inspection or professional opinion
Unless expressly agreed in writing, SkyFocusUK is not acting as a chartered surveyor, structural engineer, building inspector, roofing contractor, valuer, loss adjuster or other property specialist.
- No structural survey or building survey is provided.
- No professional roof-condition report is provided.
- No defect diagnosis, valuation, measurement or technical certification is provided.
- No opinion is given on safety, structural integrity, compliance or fitness for purpose.
- No recommendation concerning repairs or remedial work is included.
3. Visible areas and limitations
The imagery may show visible features, deterioration or damage, but SkyFocusUK does not guarantee that every defect, hazard or area of concern will be identified, visible or recorded.
- Conditions may be concealed, internal, structural, obscured or outside the available camera angle.
- Coverage may be affected by weather, lighting, glare, vegetation, roof design, neighbouring structures, access, flight restrictions and safety requirements.
- Zoomed imagery does not replace close physical inspection by an appropriately qualified professional.
4. Use of imagery and reliance
The client is responsible for deciding how the imagery is used. The imagery may be shared with a suitably qualified contractor, surveyor, engineer, insurer or other professional for further assessment.
The client should not rely solely upon the imagery when making decisions involving safety, structural condition, property purchase, repair work, valuation, insurance or legal proceedings.
5. Client responsibilities
The client confirms that the information supplied to SkyFocusUK is accurate and that they have authority to request the service at the relevant property or location.
- Provide the correct address, access details and requested areas.
- Obtain any necessary consent from the owner, occupier or site controller.
- Disclose known hazards, restrictions and sensitive areas.
- Ensure safe access to the agreed take-off and landing location.
- Keep people, animals and movable obstructions away from the operating area when requested.
6. Flight safety, legality and operational control
The remote pilot retains final control over whether, when and how a flight is conducted. SkyFocusUK may alter, postpone, suspend or cancel a flight where it considers that the operation would be unsafe, unlawful or unsuitable.
- Flights are subject to weather and visibility.
- Flights are subject to airspace restrictions, permissions and temporary restrictions.
- Flights are subject to safe separation from people, property and other aircraft.
- SkyFocusUK will not carry out a requested shot where doing so would breach applicable rules or create an unacceptable risk.
7. Cancellations and rescheduling
Where weather, airspace restrictions, safety concerns or circumstances outside SkyFocusUK’s reasonable control prevent the flight, the booking will normally be rearranged.
Any cancellation charges, deposits or non-refundable costs will be those stated in the quotation or booking confirmation.
8. Delivery, editing and retention
SkyFocusUK will supply the agreed photographs or video within the stated delivery period, subject to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Requests for additional editing, images, formats or revisions may incur an additional charge.
Unless otherwise agreed, clients should download and securely retain their files after delivery. SkyFocusUK does not guarantee indefinite storage or replacement of delivered files.
9. Copyright and permitted use
Unless copyright is expressly transferred in writing, copyright in the photographs and video remains with SkyFocusUK. The client receives permission to use the delivered imagery for the purposes stated in the quotation or booking.
The client must not sell, license, materially misrepresent or use the imagery unlawfully. Any wider commercial, advertising, publication or third-party use should be agreed in writing.
10. Privacy and incidental recording
Drone imagery may incidentally capture individuals, neighbouring property, vehicles or other information. SkyFocusUK will take reasonable steps to avoid unnecessary recording and to process imagery in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.
The client must use supplied imagery responsibly and must not use it for harassment, unlawful surveillance, intrusion, discrimination or any other unlawful purpose.
11. Liability
SkyFocusUK will perform the agreed service with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded.
Subject to those protections, SkyFocusUK is not responsible for losses arising from the client treating imagery as a professional survey, diagnosis, valuation, certification or guarantee, or from decisions made without obtaining suitably qualified advice.
12. Third-party advice and contractors
SkyFocusUK is not responsible for opinions, reports, recommendations, quotations, repairs or other work supplied by surveyors, contractors, insurers or other third parties who view or receive the imagery.
Any third party remains responsible for their own professional advice and services.
13. Complaints
If the client believes the agreed imagery service has not been supplied with reasonable care and skill, they should contact SkyFocusUK promptly with details of the issue.
SkyFocusUK should be given a reasonable opportunity to review the complaint and, where appropriate, repeat or correct the relevant part of the service.
14. Changes to the booking
Any change to the property, required shots, deliverables, usage rights, date, location or service scope must be agreed in writing.
Additional work may require a revised quotation.
15. Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights available to a consumer in their place of residence.
16. Acceptance
By confirming a booking, paying a deposit or invoice, or otherwise instructing SkyFocusUK to proceed after being given access to these terms, the client confirms that they have read and accepted them, subject to all applicable consumer rights.
